Day 128. Sausara - Lahan

After the clear sky’s of the last 2 days we woke up to grey and dull, it had rained overnight and the air was cool. A perfect day for travel.  We are heading for the most eastern border crossing into India. The ride was very pleasant through beautiful countryside, some national park with the bush close to the road on each side, some farmlands and we crossed many wide braided rivers which opened up our views.  The weather warmed up and we were getting hot, we stopped for a cold drink and momo’s for lunch.  Local electrician, complete with tool box, wires and ladder- who needs a fancy van.  Soon after we looked ahead and sky was black, really black, shall we go on? It was about 2.30.  Too early to stop so we pulled over and stowed our electrics. We got excellent views of the lightening and could hear the distant thunder.  Then we were in it, I think it took about about 30 seconds for me to be soaked through to the skin but on we pushed at one stage a clap of ...
