Day 151. Chiang Mai
Another fairly laid back day today. After breakfast I took the bike to a local dealer for new tyres. The new ones are more like road tyres so I can’t wait to try them out. They also changed my front brake pads and put my 16T front sprocket back on. So thanks “Piston Power” you guys did a great job. We had lunch at the little cafe from yesterday. Then we wandered off to the old part of Chiang Mai which is located within a crumbling “old wall”. It is full of temples, tourist places for booking tours and massage places. We checked out some temples, they sure like gold paint around here and like everywhere else so far the place is spotless. We must be more tired than we thought, we wandered into a temple and there were 5 monks sitting perfectly still in meditation. A tourist was sticking her camera quite close to them to get a great portrait shot. Robyn gave a quiet tut tut.
