Day 25. Santorini
Same start as yesterday This is our last day on the Island. Tomorrow morning at 3am Yikes! Our ferry leaves so we have decided to move to Fira to be closer to the port and hopefully we will get a few hours sleep. So with a very sketchy address which Tomtom couldn’t find we got to our new room which is adequate for the few hours that we need it. Sad to say goodbye to Reijo and Barbra and our wonderful hosts at Anemomilos Hotel, it has been memorable. A shopping trip to Fira and a last wander about filled in our afternoon. On the way there we got a salutary lesson, a guy on a scooter, foot slipped off and down he went. Not going very fast. His sneaker torn apart and toe worn down to the bone and a nasty bang to the knee. He was ok and not being stupid, unlike many of his compatriots whose behaviour on scooters can only be described as reckless bordering on madness. Pizza and beer and an early night.
