Day 23. Santorini
It’s...............Groundhog day. Swim. Late breakfast. This is becoming predictable. Anyway after all this excitement we took two buses to Kamari which had been recommended to us by the OB’s. We arrived about 1.15 and immediately sought out the restaurant also recommended. I introduced us and said we were friends of Jill and Shane and we were welcomed like family. We said we wanted to climb the hill behind the town and he insisted we take some water which he would not accept money for. He also said most people climb it early in the day before the heat sets in! So off we trotted up this bloody great hill in 32 degree temps. We followed a switchback road until near the top where we bought tickets to what is left of an ancient town perched on top of the hill. Absolutely amazing how they lived up there. It was incredibly windy and very blustery which at times made us unsteady on our feet.
