Day 154. Khon Kaen
We have had a delightful day. Khon Kaen is such a nice city. It has about 1.3M inhabitants but has such a laid back feel about it. After breakfast we went for a nice walk around a really nice lake. This local ammenity is well used by locals with options for running, cycling and walking. There are exercise machines dotted all around.

We visited the local temple and climbed to the top to see the view of the city.

We then visited the local Triumph shop which had a very impressive stock of most of the current range. I think they are cheaper to buy in NZ which surprised me as they are manufactured here.
Last night at dinner I lost a filling the size of the Hope diamond. So it was a visit to the dentist for me. Great service, nice dentist and a good job $50.
By now it was lunchtime and so off we went for authentic Thai noodles followed by a short drive to delicious cake and real coffee shop.
A nice afternoon of conversation and napping for some (me).
Later on we headed out to a large open market and a massive foodstall area. Plenty of choices for dinner and all freshly cooked while we waited with all fresh produce.
After this John drove us around a bit and we took in the nightlife, streetfood absolutely everywhere.
Everything is so laid back here, people are patient and friendly and it is just buzzing with activity.
