Day 24. Santorini.

Its.......................Groundhog Day.

Yes another day of swimming, walking (15km today). Yawn. I will keep it brief

We set off by bus to Fira then walked to the seaside town Perissa.

View looking back at Fira.

We got a bit lost and ended up walking through someone’s vineyard. When we got to the other side we were still no wiser so headed off down a narrow lane which led us to the most delightful little village called Megalochori.

Beautiful little village and we stumbled into a leather store where we made some purchases but could have gone ballistic. All hand made on site by a lovely old guy and really well made and well designed.

Notice the old WW2 BMW behind him in the photo.

Finally we arrived at the beach which was nice but had a different feel from yesterday, lots of older English people, it wasn't bad just different.
So time for a swim and a beer before catching the 2 buses needed to transport us home.
YES. We got our fish meal, brilliant and worth the wait. Our last meal with our good friends Reijo and Barbra.

  1. It looks like you've had a great time with Barbra and Reijo. The sunset looks stunning, as does the meal.
