Day 6 - 10 Orosei Sardinia

Day 6

A lovely day which starts after breakfast with the morning ritual of coffee in the Piazza.

Nice walk around old Oresei and then a drive to Judith and Graham’s’s favourite beach spots.
So beautiful.

Day 7

I have spent most of the day thinking that I must have died in my sleep and gone to motorcycle heaven.
Graham & I travelled 400 km today on the best twistys I have ever seen. The roads are like a billiard table and not a pothole in sight. I could go on and on but to all my motorcycle friends believe me these are the best roads in the world for motorcycles. Put Sardinia on your BUCKET LIST.

And guess what?
We get to do it again tomorrow 😄🏍

Day 8

Another awesome days riding. 455km of awesome motorcycle roads mainly to the North west. Brilliant scenery. Bikers come from all over Europe just to ride these roads.

Day 9

Sleepy day today. It has been raining steadily since last night and forecast to continue for the next day or so. We are planning our route, sorting washing and trying to organise photos and videos. Videos are proving a challenge but hopefully we will get there.
Farewell dinner at a really nice local restaurant

Day 10

Unfortunately it is still raining, it just hasnt let up since Saturday night.
Just as I went out to get the bike it stopped raining and it hasn’t rained all day😄😄
We took a trip over to Bosa very picturesque and then made our way to Cagliari. We stopped on the way to see a stone structure largely intact and occupied between the 7th and 14th centuries BC.You can walk around inside it.  A little place called Losa. Very impressive.

We then made our way to Cagliari where after a bit of route finding difficulty we found the correct port entry and we are now on board the ferry to Naples for the next 14 hours.

So Arriveverderci Sardinia and the best motorcycling roads in the world.
Huge thanks to Judith and Graham for their hospitality and to Graham for his tour guiding brilliance. And Judith for introducing us to a little Italian culture, even if I did mangle the language.
